2025. Azione #61. “Suspended Pendant Rocks”, Lopez Island, Washington (USA)

Lopez Library Artist Residency. 24/07 -2/08 2025.

Lecture: Color Conversation.

Collaborative Installation and Workshop: “Suspended Rocks for Lopez” – outside installation of recycled glass, rocks, and blue colored water, visible also from within the library (with Kit, Gretchen, Marcia, Tam, Linda, Sharon, Barb, and a special thank you to Nikyta and Tracey C).

Installation: “Pendente per Lopez” – hanging installation, found plywood and 126 rocks, 64 x 100 cm.

Banners: “Color Clash RBY*, BRG*, GBY*, YBR*” and “Water Patterns 1” – 2 or 3 color variations, silkscreen on cloth, 27 x 27 in..

Library cabinet installation: “Artifacts – Buffer of Time” installation of stone and glass, glass and nest, glass and driftwood, glass and shell, glass and seaweed, glass and stone, and driftwood and glass montage, various sizes, with “Color Vibrations” – 3 color variations, and Water Patterns 1” – 2 color variations.

Lopez Artist Walk first Saturday: Performance: “Vocabolario: Construction Grammar Geode 1”.

Le parole sono pietre: Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me > performance.

This performance with the patronage of the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco is part of the 20th Giornata del Contemporaneo (Contemporary Art Day) promoted by AMACI – Associazione dei Musei d’Arte Contemporanea Italiani (Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums), realized with the support of the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture and with the collaboration of the Directorate-General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, promoting Italian contemporary art worldwide.

Le parole sono pietre: Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me_performance innaugurale.

28 elementi che variano da circa 10 cm a 25 cm di circonferenza; 14 pietre e 14 calchi in cartapesta come pagine di vocabolario vengono letti dai due performer, 7 in italiano e 7 in inglese. Dal 29 al 14 luglio 2024 ADD-art festeggia 10 anni di attività con la mostra “ADD-art, 10 anni di interferenze”. L’esposizione sarà ospitata all’interno di “Palazzo Due Mondi” Palazzo Tordelli nel cuore della città di Spoleto, in occasione del Festival Due Mondi. Grazie all’associazione culturale Fish&Chic e il supporto di sponsor e sostenitori.

2023. Azione #41c – Studio tour Sou’wester Arts, prints – Seaview, Washington (USA)

We placed the prints on already available nails, creating a “gallery” in our suite, as if they had been hung in that space permanently. The prints are from the silkscreen series: “Ring Series” and “Space Projection”, and laser prints of the installation details “La vita di colore” and “Pozzo Perlato”.

Wave of the Future preschool, Seaview; workshop with 3-5 year olds, led by Chloe Maglio. “@sandfordgosti visited WAVE during @souwesterarts week as part of our visiting artists program. They talked about the relationship between man-made & nature-made objects, specifically the juxtaposition of rocks balancing atop glass bottles. The kids also balanced and traced the rocks shadows on wood and other surfaces encouraging steady focus and experimentation.”
